These are the color palettes derived from 30 consecutive sunrises in the Summer of 2018. I set out to create this piece as a further exploration of natural color combinations. The process of developing a sustained practice was an important aspect of the finished piece. It was a time of quiet personal self-reflection as I woke up every morning roughly at 5:30 am to capture these moments.

Color is all around us. It takes on so many different forms and moods. No sunrise looks the same yet each lasts for roughly 5 minutes apiece. This world is constantly changing.
